Another of the royal roads that not only survives but continues to be frequented daily by locals and farmers, the Stations of the Cross with its 14 stations are performed during religious festivities.
In the first part, you can appreciate the great exuberance of the Suarez Canyon in its upper reaches with imposing Caracolí, Ceiba, palm, and Guadale trees. The depth of the canyon is made more noticeable by the contrast produced by the Yariguíes Mountain Range, creating breathtaking views. At certain points, you can see the town of Cabrera with its traditional stone church. Upon arrival, a brief stroll through the town, a rest and refreshment in the main park, and then the return journey along the same road begins.
A moderately challenging hike with a steep 500-meter elevation change over just 2 km, descending from 1,480 to 980 meters above sea level. Suitable for all ages up to 68 years old, provided you are in good health (not recommended for people with knee problems). The path is paved with steps and is linear. A 20-minute drive each way is required by car or tuk-tuk.Average hiking time: 2 hours. Warm weather with a low probability of rain. Wear appropriate clothing and trekking shoes.

9:20AM / 2:20PM. We began our descent towards Cabrera, We will make several stops to admire the Suárez Canyon and the mountains in the background.
10:30AM / 3:30PM. Arrival in Cabrera, exploring its streets and resting in the main park to have a drink.
12M / 5PM. Return to Barichara in Tuk-Tuk.
12:20M / 5:20PM. End the tour at your hotel or in the place of town of your convenience.
