READ CAREFULLY AND KNOW OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • We will provide a local Guide, Eco-instructor, Biologist, Interpreter or Driver (depending on the recreational activity), who will accompany the tour participants at all times during the recreational activities, transfers and expeditions.
  • The cost for each tour is per person and includes all the specified items in the agreed upon itinerary by the participants and the Colombian Highlands tour operator.
  • Our staff will always carry with them the following items: cell phone, basic first aid kit, and two-way radios (if is necessary).
  • The price of the Colombian Highlands tours and other services are subject to change without prior notice. Please contact us beforehand in order to receive due information about price updates. In order to guarantee the original price, we recommend an advance payment of 50% of the entire cost of the tours and trips at the time of reservation.
  • All of our tours and activities require prior reservation and you have to pay in advance 50% of the tour. Descriptions of all activities will be provided while booking the event. The agency will ask if the people have any conditions and physical limitations to report before the tours.
  • In daily tours, should the customer decide to cancel the reservation after booking a tour or an activity, he or she will be entitled to a refund of 30% of the payment. There will be no refund for partial cancellations on packaged or joined tours and activities.
  • If the customer is unable to participate of a tour during the morning, the customer must inform us of it before 5 PM on the day previous to the tour. If we don’t receive any news, will be refunded only 30% of tour cost. (Art. 65 Law 300 de 1996).
  • WHEN CANCELLING A MULTI-DAY TOUR TRIP RESERVATION, THE CUSTOMER MUST REQUEST IT EITHER BY A WRITTEN NOTICE OR BY PHONE AT LEAST 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE TOUR. ANY CANCELLATIONS MADE AFTER THE AFOREMENTIONED TIMEFRAME WILL ONLY ENTITLE THE CUSTOMER TO A REFUND OF 30% OF THE ENTIRE COST OF THE TOUR TRIP.
  • We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to the tour’s departure time. Should a customer not arrive in time, the group will leave without those that haven’t shown up. There is no refund for not showing up on time.
  • If a customer must cancel a tour due to rain or bad weather, there will be no refund. Please bear in mind that it’s very difficult to predict the meteorological conditions in our area. The weather may vary in local or regional areas, as well as only being a temporary change. Due to this condition, the customer must be prepared for sudden and/or drastic meteorological changes. (Please refer to the recommended items to bring with you.).
  • Horseback rides for children under 10 years old must be consulted with and approved by the guide. All risks associated with horseback riding for children are the sole responsibility of their parents.
  • Additional costs for bilingual guides or interpreters. The current language options are English, French and German. In order to ensure their availability, the customer must request a bilingual guide or interpreter at least 5 days prior to the scheduled tour or activity.
  • All activities performed by Colombian Highlands have insurance coverage by Colasistencia S.A.
  • International travelers must have international insurance. Must be purchased in your country of origin. Colombians must have EPS.
  • It is the traveler or customer’s responsibility to inquire from their insurance company as to the type of agreements they may have with local healthcare providers, such as doctors and hospitals, before departing their home country.
