Enjoy a morning or afternoon in this natural refuge with fragments of Andean forest, where cucharos, tachuelos, caracolis, arrayanes, orchids, bromeliads, and other regional plants attract countless birds, including chachalacas, tanagers of various colors, flycatchers, hummingbirds, and many more.
This reserve has been working on the recovery of areas that were used for livestock and intensive agriculture, with excellent results that have attracted people to learn about it and apply its methods in other places. Thus, in a short tour, you will learn to understand the importance of plant diversity in promoting soil and forest recovery. You will also see a coffee and mandarin plantation where native vegetation is being allowed to grow and/or where edible forests are being created by planting a variety of fruit trees.
Easy hike with a total elevation gain of 60 meters, suitable for all ages up to 74 years old, provided participants are in good health. The terrain is hilly with ascents and descents.
20 minutes by car or tuk-tuk each way. Average hiking time: 2 hours. Warm climate. Wear appropriate clothing and trekking shoes. Breakfast available (COP 18,000). Lunch: Ajíaco (Colombian famous soup) (COP 28,000).

9AM / 2PM. Pickup at your hotel. Transfer by tuk-tuk to the Natural Reserve Bocaré.
9:20AM / 2:20PM. We begin our tour through the coffee plantation and the mandarin trees, to start descending towards the reforestation areas and the conservation area
11:00AM / 4:00PM. We finished our tour at the Granadillo de Luna Mansion with a coffee or refreshing drink.
11:40AM / 4:40PM. Return to Barichara in Tuk-Tuk.
12:10M / 5:10PM. End the tour at your hotel or in the place of town of your convenience.
